Situated in the slopes with a view of Jacó beach, Bijagual is a Puntarenas County. Bijagual is a self-sufficient paradise with all the amenities one may need, including parks, schools, police stations, and health facilities. The village is easily reached by paved roads via Tárcoles or a dirt road close to Jacó. Naturalists are drawn to the area because of the magnificent Bijagual waterfalls. Situated in the mountains behind Playa Jaco and Tarcoles, this stunning natural farm property is only a short distance from the beach resorts of Jaco and 90 minutes from the airport. Esperanza is a little village located outside of Bijagual.

The majority of thIS 169-hectare tract of land (403 acres) is covered in regenerated forest. The family has owned this special piece of land for over thirty years. This land was formerly used for cattle and pastures; the family has gradually restored the farm.

There are eight pools and waterfalls along the Lajas Creek, which borders the property to the northwest. The farm also has four freshwater springs. A total of 10 Ha is covered with forest, mostly in the vicinity of waterfalls and creeks. The majority of the farm is covered in jungle, with a few sections used for crops and numerous excellent locations for future construction.

The region is abundant in natural resources, supporting a wide variety of avian species, including Toucans, Aracaris, Hawks, Falcons, and Scarlet Macaws. Deer, monkeys, coatimundi, raccoons, wild pigs, macaws, toucans, wild turkeys, and other species can be found in the reserve’s deepest section. Its abundance of Teak, Sabanial Oak, Cedar, Yellow Oak, and many other tree species—including, the owner claims, African palm and a thousand mahogany trees—make it exceptionally rich in lumber as well. Keep in mind this could also be an ideal property to establish commercial Teak plantations.
