There are many wild and unusual species of flora and wildlife that call the mountains and woodlands their home. There are breathtaking views of the Pacific Coastline and the Gulf of Nicoya from this location. Those who are able to climb to higher heights will be rewarded with the opportunity to see gorgeous gardens as well as a cloud forest.
At an elevation of barely 300 meters above mean sea level, Miramar may be found at the foot of the mountains. Hiking the distance between the two villages, which takes around six hours total, already affords you numerous breathtaking vistas to take in along the way. Other hiking paths are accessible in the highlands, and these trails provide hikers with the opportunity to see a significant portion of Costa Rica’s native flora and fauna in their natural settings. Hiking trails may be found in Montes de Oro, also known as the hills of gold, where tourists can explore the deep, dense woods that are interspersed with rivers.
